What is cmuTV?
cmuTV is the student-run television station of Carnegie Mellon University. We are based out of Margaret Morrison Plaza 1 (see map), providing 24-hour content to channel 17, available in all dorms and academic buildings on campus. Weekly meetings are held in our studio thursday evenings at 9:30pm. Contact us at cmuTV@andrew.cmu.edu for more information, or if you'd like to attend a meeting and see what we're all about (new faces are always welcome).
What's on the air?
Our content ranges from educational programming to absurd comedy, cooking shows, news, and campus events, really anything goes! We also film many events live and broadcast simultaneously to channel 17 and the web. cmuTV welcomes videos from students, as any video created by a member of the campus community may be aired on the channel, including class projects, bands, sporting events, and so on. Members of cmuTV have full access to high-end camera and editing equipment, and members work both on campus events as well as independent projects.Who are we?
